Events & Training
The foundation of a strong literacy community is a professional network of adult educators and program leaders who are prepared with the skills and knowledge to provide high-quality instruction and to lead successful programs. MCAEL offers provider meetings for program staff, workshops for instructors led by local and nationally recognized experts (valued at about $30/hour/person) and awards for both staff and instructors. View a sample list of past workshops and trainings. MCAEL supports and encourages instructors and staff to connect to the broader professional community that exists in the Montgomery County and Washington D.C. area.
