Instructor Observation Project

The goal of this project is to provide ESOL instructors who are teaching with organizations in the MCAEL provider network, an opportunity to be observed during an instructional session and to receive feedback on their classroom practices. Instructors will be observed for a full class.  This observation project is a 360 degree experience so that instructors who are observed, will also be given the opportunity to provide feedback about their experience in participating. Feedback is provided in a positive manner and the project is framed as an opportunity for all involved to receive valuable input and data that can help to inform future classroom practices and help to shape future professional development for instructors.

If you are interested in participating in this program, please contact Margaret Shrager, MCAEL Instruction Observation Coordinator at

All requests for participation in this program must be submitted by December 1st, 2018.

If you were unable to attend our online information session on November 2nd about this professional development opportunity, you can review the recorded session by clicking here.
